About Us

Welcome to Pickle deVille – Pickleball Townsville – your local hub for pickleball in North Queensland! Our sessions take place at the Townsville Sports Precinct, a top-tier multi-use facility located in the heart of Townsville. With three indoor courts, it’s the ideal space to escape the heat and elements while learning, playing, and enjoying the fastest-growing sport in the country.

Pickle deVille is run by Tom Ta, affectionately known as TomInaPickle – a certified pickleball coach and accomplished player with multiple gold medals from tournaments around Australia. Tom was instrumental in kickstarting pickleball at GESAC during his time in Melbourne and is a highly regarded coach and player within the Australian pickleball community. His reputation has drawn players from across the country eager to benefit from his coaching and expertise.

Now based in Townsville, Tom is dedicated to growing the sport, building a strong community, and helping players of all levels improve and thrive. Whether you’re a beginner picking up a paddle for the first time or a seasoned player looking to refine your game, Pickle deVille offers a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone.
